The miracle baby O’Reagans
A New Orleans, that the family had been forced to flee Hurricane Katrina is its blessing. “I evacuated my 3-year, three dogs and two cats in the middle of the night. So, as far as adoption, tomorrow I have another day,” said Michelle O’Reagan.
Fleeing to Houston, Michelle was at her husband as their Ryan was in Africa, he worked for Chevron.
“I also had many other things in mind. I thought about love, and you know, not to think about the future not only at home,” says Michelle.
But then, a product of chance in their hotel near the Astrodome in Houston. Michelle ran in Danna cousins, its social workers from New Orleans adoption agency.

“I said,” Hey, if you get a baby, at least you know where we are, “said Michelle.

“We knew what looked like the picture. We had no idea where they were, where they evacuated, where it could be,” says Danna.
